See you this weekend

16th June 2016

Halifax Food & Drink Festival delivered by the team at Marketing Halifax in conjunction with Calderdale Markets, the ninth annual Halifax Food & Drink Festival will take place Saturday 18th & Sunday 19th June.

Saturday 18th June offers a live demonstration kitchen with chefs and local producers taking to the stage, around 60 exhibiting stall holders selling homemade food and drink, in the town centre between 10am and 5pm. Sunday 19th June showcases new talent on the demonstration kitchen stage, around 60 exhibiting stall holders, and plenty of free sampling and giveaways across the day between 10am and 4pm.

There will be local, regional, national and International cuisine, artisan breads and delicate cakes. Cider and beer brewed in the region served alongside cocktails and wine.  European, Asian, Indian, African and Caribbean foods will nestle between coffee vans and fruit and veg stalls. Not forgetting sweet treats, healthy nibbles and cheese in abundance.  There is something for all taste buds and all pockets.

Marketing Halifax Chair, The Reverend Canon Hilary Barber says;

Halifax is looking forward to the Food and Drink Festival 2016. This year we’re delighted that Marketing Halifax is able to partner with the Calderdale Markets, and we’re hugely grateful for all their support. Because of the support of the Markets team this year will have a more local feel than ever, with stalls aimed at food producers across Calderdale. Next year, we hope the 2017 Festival will be sponsored by The Halifax BID, make sure you vote YES when the election comes in the autumn!”

The Halifax Food & Drink Festival is free to attend. The festival is suitable for all ages, with a number of stalls contributing to the increasing need to support food intolerances there will be vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, dairy free and nut free products available to buy at the festival.
